Working Student Support Engineer (m/f/d), Wiesbaden/Remote

Wiesbaden/Remote 100% remote option available Part time DevOps
Back to the job advertisement overview

As a working student in DevOps Support (m/f/d), you are there when things get technically challenging - and you won’t just work behind the scenes. You’ll support our team with incoming requests around our Kubernetes environments, investigate issues in a structured way, and communicate directly with our customers. You’ll ask the right follow-up questions, keep them proactively updated, and explain solutions in a way that genuinely helps.

You’ll dig into logs and configurations, narrow down root causes step by step, and learn hands-on what modern platform operations look like in day-to-day practice. Working closely with experienced DevOps Engineers, you’ll get direct feedback and quickly become part of the team - with real cases and real impact.

We operate and support our Kubernetes environments via kloudease. If you’d like to learn more upfront: https://kloudease.com/

Your job

  • You’re the first point of contact for incoming support requests, ask targeted follow-up questions, and proactively keep our customers up to date
  • You triage and prioritize tickets, reproduce issues, and narrow down root causes in a structured way
  • You support troubleshooting in production by digging into logs, deployments, and configurations - and escalate clearly to the DevOps team when deeper investigation is needed
  • You document outcomes in a way others can follow and translate technical findings into clear next steps - internally and externally

What you bring along

  • You’re studying (Business) Informatics or a comparable field and are excited to gain hands-on experience in a DevOps/operations environment
  • Ideally, you’ve already gained some initial experience in IT support
  • You’ve had first touchpoints with Git or container/Kubernetes topics
  • You approach problems in a structured way, think in hypotheses, and keep digging until you understand the root cause
  • You have very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
