You have a strong sense for new business opportunities and know how to open doors at strategically relevant companies? You see yourself as a hunter - but your strengths go beyond the first outreach. You are used to speaking with decision-makers at management and C-level, understanding complex business needs, and positioning solutions in a way that creates real commercial relevance.

Then this role could be a great fit for you: As Senior Account Executive (m/f/d) in our AI & Solution Services Business Unit, you will take ownership of building new business at scale. Your focus will be on identifying large target accounts, engaging relevant stakeholders, and developing complex B2B opportunities with significant revenue potential through to successful closing.

As part of the AOE Group, we develop custom software solutions and tailored consulting services for companies facing complex digital challenges. You will work closely with our technical experts and bring exactly those topics into the conversation where AOE can create real value.

Important: This is not an existing-customer or traditional account management role. Your focus will be on outbound sales, active customer acquisition, and building new business.
Job Description
  • You systematically build new business with strategically relevant target accounts - from the first contact through to closing complex project, product, or service contracts. 
  • You identify large target accounts and relevant market potential in the B2B environment, turning them into concrete sales approaches for strategic opportunities with significant revenue potential. 
  • You research relevant decision-makers, sales triggers, and customer needs, and develop tailored outreach approaches for management and C-level stakeholders. 
  • You conduct structured discovery conversations, qualify needs, decision-making structures, budgets, and next steps, and turn them into robust sales cases. 
  • Together with our technical experts, you develop proposals, solution scenarios, and business cases that are compelling from a technical, commercial, and strategic perspective. 
  • You present AOE convincingly to potential customers, lead complex negotiations, and bring high-potential deals successfully across the finish line. 
  • You manage your pipeline with clear prioritization, strong ownership, and reliable forecasting.
What you bring along
  • You have several years of proven success in B2B new business sales, including complex sales cycles and IT, software, SaaS, or digital business solutions that require explanation.
  • You enjoy opening up new customer potential and have experience building, negotiating, and successfully closing deals with significant revenue potential and strategically relevant accounts.
  • You can quickly get to the heart of complex topics, simplify decision-making processes for customers, and build trust early on through strong relationships with management and C-level stakeholders.
  • You stay resilient, focused, and persistent throughout the sales process, even when facing rejection, without losing your presence or sense of ownership.
  • You have experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot, modern sales tools, and AI-based workflows.
  • You have business-fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
