Your job

• As a backend developer at AOE, you will design the backbone of complex, web-based applications
• Your expertise is required to solve customer-specific problems by developing robust code and implementing a sustainable architecture that will last in the long term
• With your in-depth understanding of software architecture (design patterns) and microservices, you are jointly responsible for building systems that are both scalable and easy to maintain and meet the high-quality standards of our customers
• This includes code reviews and testing the software as well as developing your applications in a cloud-based infrastructure and deploying them via CI/CD pipelines
• In our open and agile working culture, you will be part of a cross-functional team in which everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and discuss the best solutions together

What you bring along

• You have sound knowledge and experience in Java development
• You value a structured way of working and have gained extensive practical experience in object-oriented programming
• You are confident in working with web frameworks and use best practices such as clean code, DDD, TDD, build automation and CI/CD deployment
• You don't like standstill? Very good, neither do we. A willingness to learn and openness to new technologies are important to us
• You are fluent in written and spoken German and English
