AOE GmbH Wiesbaden/Remote 100% remote option available DevOps
Back to the job advertisement overview

Do you feel at home in both the world of code and infrastructure? Do you enjoy tinkering with automation, but also love to look at the big picture? Welcome to AOE! You don't have to choose here - as a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) you bring both together and shape the digital future with us.

With us, you will develop scalable, reusable infrastructures - sometimes independently, sometimes as part of a team - for our exciting customer projects or our own AOE projects. In a culture where quality comes before hectic deadlines and where a genuine passion for tech meets a great deal of flexibility and a willingness to learn new technologies.

As a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) at AOE, you should always be prepared to be on call. Whether and when this is actually used depends on the respective project setup. If you are on call and take on an assignment, both activities will of course be remunerated separately and can give your monthly salary a good boost.

Your job

  • You will analyze performance, find bugs and fix them - quickly, smartly and elegantly. You will use tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Jaeger and OpenCensus
  • “Infrastructure as code” and CI/CD are more than just buzzwords for you - it's your everyday life. With Terraform, Helm, Gitlab-CI, Jenkins and Docker, you automate everything that is possible
  • You develop and implement automation and orchestration concepts for complex systems. You use Kubernetes (k8s), Istio and other modern tools - depending on the project and requirements
  • You ensure stable deployments, logging, reliable monitoring, timely alerting and sophisticated security based on one of these cloud setups AWS, STACKIT, Azure and Google Cloud

What you bring along

  • You have successfully completed a technical degree or training as an IT specialist
  • You have practical experience on one of the cloud platforms AWS, STACKIT, Azure or Google Cloud
  • You are proficient in containerization with Docker or LXC and orchestration with Kubernetes, Mesos, Swarm or OpenShift
  • You are familiar with modern architecture patterns such as SOLID, DDD or MVC - and ideally also have experience with test-driven development
  • Scripting is part of your everyday life - whether Go, Bash, Python, Ruby or Perl
  • You have a firm grasp of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Gitlab CI, Github pipelines, Jenkins, GoCD) and tools such as Ansible, Terraform & Co.
  • You have business fluent written and spoken German and English skills
